Sabrina Miller is MIA this weekend, but have no fear, Emily Gibson and Jay Mackin save the day by crashing the 2010 portland Pride Festival. There were so many events going on that it would have been impossible to cover them all. Convention Crashers Emily and Sabrina head to something completely different….a festival. What? It counts….it totally counts! It’s just outdoor instead of indoor! Sabrina and Emily head to the Convention Center to check out Crafty Wonderland! We meet some of Portland’s most creative types and it becomes increasingly harder to not buy anything! So hard that Sabrina was making bazaar grunting sounds at the booths she loved. Emily kept busy with the plethora of pretty ladies selling pretty things. From mustache wax to octopus dolls this convention was very Portland!

Emily and Sabrina tromp off to the Stumptown Comics Fest – Sweating their way through comic nerds near and far. They talk to some really cool artists of independent comics as well as some awesome retails carrying comics in Portland. They talked to masters of the comic arts, everything from postcard artists, keyboard makers, writers and illustrators and the Alter Egos Society dudes.

With Emily out of commission for the weekend with family in town, Jay from Unibash Radio and I charged to one of the coolest conventions I’ve been to: Portland’s Largest Garage Sale. We saw a ton of useless stuff and we both were really good in not spending any money on anything! I would highly recommend planning on the next one of these in November as it will be a two day event. Thanks Jay for filling in – I had a blast!

Pedal Nation is where it was at this past weekend at the Convention Center. In its first ever convention, Sabrina, Jay, and Emily crashed this one with the best of them and were highly impress with this convention right from the get go. There were bikes a plenty, a rad bike course and even a wee one for the kids, and plenty of awesome vendors to show off their wears.
Oh yeah, and Sabrina finally figures out what Zoo Bombing is….
